Due to excessive hot weather and below-average rainfall in Rockland so far this summer and the subsequent depletion of the county’s water supply, the Rockland County Department of Health is asking residents to voluntarily conserve water.

 
Rockland County Sues MTA for “Unconstitutional” Payroll Tax
August 13, 2010 -
County Executive C. Scott Vanderhoef announced that Rockland would file suit against the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), stating that the mobility tax levied by the State on behalf of the agency earlier this year is a violation of the New York State Constitution.

County Working with Pfizer to Utilize Buildings on Pearl River Campus
